How Can An Adjustable Bed Alleviate My Nighttime Aches And Pains?

To illustrate how an adjustable bed can ease nighttime aches and pains you first have to understand the cause of your pain at night.

What usually causes pain at night is an injury or a health problem that has persisted for weeks, months or years. We try to live with the pain hoping it will get better soon. Unfortunately for most of us who ignore the pain we pay dearly for it months or years later. The pain gets worse! As the pain or discomfort worsens it begins to interrupt our sleeping patter. We toss and turn all night long try to get relief and it does not matter where we move to we are not going to find relief for long. You wake up tired and sore. You are more tired in the morning then when you went to bed the night before. You stumble out of bed in the morning, you can't concentrate and you say to yourself; "I can't keep doing this every night."

There are 2 reasons for your discomfort and sleeplessness at night and they both have to do with sleeping on your old flatbed. Let's look at these 2 reasons right now!

Problem #1

The 1st problem you're having maybe due to the pressure you feel while lying on your old flatbed at night. The pressure from lying flat intensifies your achy muscles and joints. You are literally supporting your body weight with your skeletal muscles. Your muscles are in a state of tension most of the night, and you can't relax because you are still using your muscles at night instead of letting them rest. Your muscles become fatigued and sore intensifying the pain from your existing injury or health problem. Keeping you from a good night sleep.

Problem #2

The 2nd problem you may be having is bending your limbs (arms and knees) constricting blood flow to your extremities while you are lying flat at night. That's right your flatbed maybe constricting your blood circulation at night. Without the proper amount of blood to the extremities you may be temporarily causing arthritic symptoms in your hands, legs and feet making the pain even worse. Remember what blood does for our bodies; it heats our bodies, it heals us, it carries all of our nutrients and medications throughout our bodies. The point I am making is if we don't get enough blood circulating to injured areas we will not heal properly and as a result without enough blood it can make the problem worse. Now your problem begins to interfere with your quality of life.

For temporary relief of nighttime aches and pains try an adjustable bed. Sleeping on your back on an adjustable bed with your head slightly elevated and your knees flexed can give you relief of nighttime aches and pains while you sleep at night. You are probably thinking to yourself; "I can't sleep on my back, I am a side sleeper." Don't worry we all think this the first time someone suggest that we sleep on our back. The reason you are thinking this is, this is all your mind has known you to do, is sleep on your side. However your body wants you to sleep on your back with head elevated and your knees flexed. Unfortunately you have never had the opportunity to sleep this way because you have spent all your life sleeping on an old antiquated flatbed on your sides.

Sleeping on an adjustable bed with your head and legs elevated will allow the adjustable bed to fit the curves of your spine supporting your body and relaxing your muscles and causing the eyelid to become heavy. This position will induce sleep faster and will allow you to sleep longer. after a few nights of sleeping on an adjustable bed You will no longer want to sleep on your side causing your body pain. You will find yourself waking up feeling better and more rested in the morning. You will discover that a quality adjustable bed can give you your quality of life back.
